Story

Assalam alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.
Alhmdolillah we are nearing the Blessings of Ramadan. We are trying to raise funds for our Ramadan iftar funds for 15 vulnerable families we are supporting Insha’Allah.
Each family will be supported through Ramadan to cover iftar and increased living costs by our volunteers. These are vulnerable single mother families who have overcome horrific and complex domestic abuse and, refugee asylum families from Afghanistan Africa and Middle East, Many have little to no income due to, being on asylum immigration status and No recourse to public funds. These families are living in safe housing and supported solely by us for a variety of needs. The families are all eligible for zakat and sadaqah. When these women came to us many only had a few or no belongings with them, we have helped them to begin to rebuild their lives. 3 families have disability and severe additional needs and have been struggling with the cost of living crisis throughout winter.
Please help us raise £3000 to help these 15 families for this month of Ramadan up to Eid.Each family will be supported with a gift of £200 to help them with Ramadan and Eid purchases. This allows them independence and agency whilst they await their asylum or benefit outcomes. The Quran and Hadith advise us give in such a way that the recipient is not humiliated or feels embarrassed for receiving such support
JzkA Khair.
