Farrah Azam – London based artist, mother and entrepreneur

Farrah Azam is a London based artist, mother and entrepreneur.

After graduating from the University of Westminster having studied psychology, Farrah decided to explore her inner creativity. Inspired by her travels and interest in mental health and it’s link to art, Farrah set up her first business 10 years ago, Bespoke henna (renamed Farrah Azam in 2020). She took the traditions of henna and infused it with various other art forms to create her signature East meets West style. Her unique designs are carefully hand-crafted on to a variety of surfaces including home décor, fabric, perfume bottles and musical instruments. Farrah’s talents have not gone unnoticed with recognition from some of the world’s largest media outlets including CNN news. With her growing reputation, she has attracted some high-profile clients worldwide.

A few years after starting her business, aspiring artists approached Farrah to provide artistic training and business mentoring. Due to popular demand, she decided to set up a training academy in 2015, which she runs from SOAS University in Central London. Since starting her mentoring journey, Farrah has had the pleasure of training hundreds of students globally, many of which have set up successful businesses. Farrah has also provided successful group workshops all over the U.K, one of which took place at the highly acclaimed art Museum in London, The Wallace Collection.

Farrah was approached by Italian luxury brand, Giorgio Armani in 2015 to collaborate with them on their Luxury Armani Prive fragrances which would be sold exclusively in Harrods and Selfridges, London. After the huge success of this collaboration, Farrah was approached by various other high-end brands including Penhaligons, Guerlain, Urban decay and Acqua di Parma who she later worked with on various projects.

Farrah uses her skills for Humanitarian purposes and works closely with Friends of Al Aqsa providing live painting sessions as entertainment for guests who attend their events. The pieces completed during the live painting sessions is then auctioned off for charity.

Farrah has been invited over the years to partake in celebrated public speaking events, one of which included a motivational speech at the high commission of Cyprus.
